Lean Manufacturing Manager – Rock Star of Lean

Sunday, January 16th, 2011

The title is Lean Manufacturing Manager. But that’s a bit misleading. What we’re really looking for is a rock star in Lean transformation. No, THE rock star of Lean Transformation. Do you have the track record to stake you claim?

Our client is the hottest high-tech consumer electronics company on the planet (OK, that’s my opinion, but I’ve yet to find anyone who disagrees). Position is located in Silicon Valley.  Career growth and opportunity is unlimited if you can perform. And compensation, to start, is in excess of $250,000.  Yes, a FIRST year package of base, bonus and stock of $250k or more for the right person.  Are you this person?

We require a minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on Lean transformation experience. And by that I mean doing it and getting results.  NOT running training programs. Not certifying Lean BlackBelts.  Not talking, but making Lean happen. In the Gemba. Achieveing critical results. Fast, consistently, persistently. And busting through the metrics like there were no tomorrow.

This position will be challenging, even demanding, but worthy of the best Lean Senseis. Based in Silicon Valley, you’ll have international and domestic travel opportunities. Interact with suppliers, customers, contract manufacturers and their Tier One and Tier Two vendors.   Drive, sustain, deliver. Again and again.

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated Lean transformation success in the consumer electronics sector.  Think Dell, Lenovo and HP in laptops;  iPhones, iPads and Macs at Apple;  Internet TVs and e-readers from Sony; Xboxes over at Microsoft;  BlackBerries from RIM;  and pretty much anything made by Flextronics or (back in the day) Solectron.  Or, anything that comes close.

Send me a resume. Or give me a call. Or send me an email.  And then do only one thing:  convince me you are the Rock Star of Lean Transformation.
