We are searching for talented individuals to join our client’s team of consultants working in Lean Manufacturing. We seek a limited number of world-class, hands-on experts in Lean manufacturing systems and processes (Toyota Production System-based expertise).  Individuals will join the firm as consultants/specialists, or very senior level, seasoned consultants with very strong subject matter expertise, and will relocate to and work out of the Moscow, Russia office.

Responsibilities

The Lean Manufacturing Specialist (LMS) will be an active member of a rapidly growing Eastern European/Russian practice of Lean Manufacturing/Toyota Production System professionals on our client’s team.  This individual will participate on client engagements within various manufacturing organizations to assist in facilitating transformations to lean production environments. Along with senior team members the LMS will also offer client management support and advice on strategic and operational questions relating to Lean Manufacturing.  The LMS will undertake changes both in terms of production system redesign, as well as improvement to the execution of the production system – thus the work will range from shop floor improvements to fundamental changes of work processes, information flows, and material flows.

 

Professional Background

We expect that this individual would have roots in production, engineering or manufacturing at the shop floor level, and through team and task leadership of mixed-ability individuals, would have risen up to the rigorous management of a manufacturing activity.  This individual would have been taught lean manufacturing concepts and has had the role of introducing said concepts on the shop floor, been placed in charge of continuous improvement teams, and therefore has a track record of having clear and personal impact on productions settings.

 

Specifics

·        You have a solid knowledge, based on practical experience, of all areas of Lean Manufacturing, e.g., the Toyota Production System, kaizen methods, TP, TQM, policy deployment, JIT, Kanban, Hoshin, SMED, 5S, Poka Yoke

·        You have several years' professional experience in the introduction and implementation of Lean Manufacturing concepts

·        You have an excellent university or technical college degree, with a technical or business specialization

·        You have outstanding analytical and conceptual skills 

·        You show great initiative and creativity, working well both on your own or in a team

·        You are confident, enthusiastic, personable, and mobile

You are able to convince others through your fluent written and spoken communications – in the language of the country where you will work, as well as in English.

Location

Position is based out of Moscow, Russia office.  However, under certain circumstances, our client would consider another location in Eastern Europe, possibly Poland, the Czech Republic, or Hungary.
